You have to consult your doctor once a month for :
- Watch your general health and detect in time the possible complications of your diabetes.
- Check your glycaemia balance and adapt diet treatment.
- Track down and treated once any wound of the foot.
You have to consult your pedicurist-chiropodist both months for :
- Cut your nails, especially if these are very thick, if you miss flexibility to reach correctly the extremity of toes or if your sight is not good.
- Remove the horn (hyperkeratosis), which forms on the points of supports or friction (horns (corns)); it exists pumice.
- Verify the absence of mushrooms (mycosis) on the skin and the nails.
- Receive advices on shoes setting.
- If necessary, adapt small devices to avoid the zones of conflict between toes or foot and shoe, and make comfortable arch supporters for the treatment of the deformations.
